Jennifer B.P. Truong
Jennifer B.P. Truong is a founding member of and a commercial property tax appeals lawyer with Behrens & Truong LLC. Her practice concentrates on industrial and commercial tax appeals in Chicago and Cook County.
She primarily represents clients at real estate tax appeals hearings before the Cook County Assessor’s Office and Board of Review, as well as property assessment appeals before the Illinois Property Tax Appeals Board. Jennifer also handles Certificate of Error (C of E) filings with the Cook County Assessor’s Office. And she represents clients in tax rate and specific objection litigation/protests before the Circuit Court of Cook County.
Jennifer was admitted to the bar in 2012, and prior to founding Behrens & Truong worked at McCracken, McCracken & Behrens since 2001.
In her free time, Jennifer is an avid volunteer. As a member of the Junior League of Chicago, she served on the Board of Directors, and was co-founder of Health STARRS in partnership with the Neighborhood Development Network (Chicago). She is also a Sunday school teacher at Church of the Redeemer (Highland Park). In college Jennifer volunteered with the University of Chicago Major Activities Board and served on the Council on University Programming, where for two years she co-chaired the campus-wide Mardi Gras event.
